Abstract paintings featured at Glick Sound and Vision Gallery

LANCASTER Pa. - Local artist Vanessa Tate opened her exhibit in the Sound and Vision Gallery at Glick Audio and Video with a reception on Friday, April 25 from 5:30 to 7:30 p.m.

Tate says of her work, "I am interested in creating abstract paintings that are interesting, bright, colorful and moving.

"Most artists select a subject prior to beginning a painting. I only select music or a color and start to paint. Each painting is an adventure. I never know what the end result will be."

Tate has nine original works on display.

"My paintings give me the freedom to think outside the box which is a breath of fresh air," says Tate.

"My art is true reflection of my soul. I enjoy painting and I think it shows."

Glick manager, Jim L. Bowman, says, "Given the synergy of music and art that her work represents, we are particularly delighted to have Vanessa's work hanging on the walls of our theaters."

Glick Audio and Video supports local artists and musicians by promoting their work in the Sound and Vision Gallery located in their Lancaster showroom.
